Most men's prayer life died somewhere between "ask and you shall receive" and "God didn't answer, so what's the point." You asked and nothing happened. You prayed for reconciliation and got paperwork. You prayed for peace and got a custody lawyer.
But here's what prayer actually is — not a lever you pull to get a result, but a posture you take in the middle of uncertainty. Prayer is you saying: "I don't have this, and You do." Not because God owes you an answer, but because you need to practice being someone who knows they're not in control.
