There's a version of God that lives in a lot of divorced men's heads, and it's wrong. This version of God is keeping a scoreboard. He's watching to see if you're doing enough, being enough, fixing enough. And every time you stumble — every time you yell at your kids, every time you spend money you shouldn't, every time you feel like you're failing — this version of God adds another mark to the wrong column.
That's not God. That's religion.
